If you’ve been around a while, you’ll know that Phil likes to blog from time to time. And it’s always useful for helping the rest of us catch up with what he’s thinking about. He’s usually pretty excited about something. But we actually have a heap of great writers and thinkers in the church, so we thought it was time to give a few more voices a space to share.
The blog will mainly follow our teaching series. giving you the opportunity to connect to the big ideas we’re grappling with, and also giving us more space than we get on a Sunday morning to think more broadly about what the Bible is teaching us. (Although we’d also recommend subscribing to the podcast). You can leave comments on any of the blogs, and participate in the conversation.
You can expect to hear from Phil at the start of every month, and about half way through each month we’ll have a missional community focus, when we’ll hear directly from someone in one of our MCs about what they’re wrestling with. In between you might stumble across blogs from Heidi Damon, Andy Flannagan, Martyn Casserley, the hub team – they’ll all queuing up to write (with their arms twisted behind their back. Just kidding. But I would).
We’d love to hear from as many of you as possible, so if you’d like to contribute, drop us a line. You can be any age – we’d love to hear from the youth, and from our kids – and you’re welcome to pitch anything that connects to our teaching series or missional community thinking. The more voices, the merrier.
In January we’re kicking off with three months of teaching about fasting, praying and giving, so look out for Phil’s blog on New Year’s Day…
