Training at The Well

We are passionate at The Well about building a discipling culture; one in which we all encourage one other in our daily walk with Christ. This is expressed through learning to be ‘families on mission’ in communities; practicing hospitality and accountability in our everyday neighbourhoods or networks. Additionally, we provide many opportunities for those who want to be equipped for specific callings or ministries. Below are just a few of the training contexts that we provide at The Well, either directly or with our partnership organisations. Upcoming Training Events

The Alpha Course

The Alpha course is the most popular course in the world, with over million people having done it globally. Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith, typically run over eleven weeks. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone’s welcome. We run Alpha locally either in Lumberjack cafe in Camberwell, or in someones home.

Oikos Discipleship Series

It is our aim to ensure that everyone at The Well has access to discipleship that fits.  ‘Oikos’ is a series of eleven sessions in the context of a group meal in a home.  ‘Oikos’ is a Greek word referring to an extended family. It is also an acronym for; Orientation, Information, Konnection (sic), Observation, Sending.

Bible Workshops

Bible workshops are popular at The Well. We usually invite someone with expertise to walk us through a deeper look at either a book of scripture or a biblical theme. We also host impromptu discussions around topical issues. These usually take place on a Saturday morning, but can also be midweek in somebody’s home.

Learning Community

The Well Learning Community is a peer learning group for those who are either launching or leading a missional community. These workshops happen twice a year and provide tools for growing a culture of discipleship and mission along with inspiration, reflection and plenty of time to plan with your team.

The LAM Course

Is a 3.5 day marriage course hosted by The Well. The workshops are led by Nothing Hidden Ministries and are intensive in nature. Over the three days we look at keys for Spiritual Emotional and Sexual wholeness and connection as a couple

Prophecy Course

Do you want to be more proficient in giving prophetic words or words of knowledge in your daily life? Then come along to our prophetic course led by Haydon, Alison and team.
